Whatever you think of Live Unicorn, you're probably wrong. Then again, you feel like you've just heard the song. Given the title, I first thought you were considering something for perverts from My Little Pony, or something more appropriate for MyGaySites than ThePornDude. I will say that other things called by other names smell just as sweet, but what about webcam sites with freaking weird names.

Maybe unicorns are supposed to be valuable, but they're hard to find. If so, I'm increasingly interested in LiveUnicorns.com, which calls itself "Your Private Live Entertainment Club," which is a bizarre way of saying it's a subscription-only webcam site. The domain was registered in 2018, but boobs didn't start streaming until a year ago. Nevertheless, it appears to have gotten off to a good start, winning the Best New Platform award at the LiveCam Awards 2022. I love anything to do with naked girls, so I wanted to know what sets this site apart from the Chaturbates and LiveJasmins of this world.

It looks like a normal webcam site, but...

Start any site and what you see is what you get. It's usually a wall of thumbnails showing all the women performing at the moment. Most cam sites promise free entertainment, but only the big sites consistently offer free boobs, masturbation and sex. It's a cheap shot: Live Unicorns doesn't offer free or even a cursory look at who's performing.

However, it does make some promises on such topics as "interactive shows with unique talent," live camera professionals, BDSM artists, cosplayers, gamers, sex educators and social media influencers. With the exception of sex educators, it's similar to any other cam site, as is the ability to request new performers every month and private shows with your favorite performers. Just because it has the word "exclusive content" in bold doesn't mean it's any different than what others offer.

LiveUnicorns.com has a few features that others don't. They allow participants to "declare their participation in a scheduled live show." There also seems to be "curated-themed content" that can really impress you.

Truth be told, it's quite a challenge. They're asking $10 a month to enter a webcam site that's no better than any other. I think they assume that this won't convince cam fans, so in the second FAQ question they ask what the membership includes. It says here.

Booking private shows is not possible. As far as I know, the request has to be made when the model is online, but there is no easy way to see who is online. For example, my favorite girl at the top of the "Performers" page hasn't been online in four months, and there's no way to swap the search results.

One of the attractions of LiveUnicorns is the payout rate, which is very disappointing. The model rate is 90%, which means that they support models more than other sites. But, of course, that's if you can catch it live.

I think Live Unicorns has a decent project, but I'm not sure it's ready for prime time. I wish they had more models and a live show that cost $10 per admission ticket. I read somewhere that the price would go up to $40 after early access, but that's crazy and not worth it at this point. The basic functionality needs improvement. Improved search/sorting filters, moderate.
