Vivud

If words could express my excitement, I would be the happiest man alive. What made me feel this way? It is a little site called Vivud.com. The moment I saw this site, I had so many good and bad things to say about it that I almost got a boner just thinking about it. Sick, isn't it? But I take my job very seriously and when I behave professionally, even woody happens. I guess that's why I am a reviewer for a porn site. Otherwise, this habit might have been a problem if I had been doing other things like accounting, statistics, or roofing.

My initial impression was a confused one. The videos are plastered all over the website, but the way they are placed is as if they are part of a .JPG image. You know how sometimes when you click on a video in a banner, it is actually a redirect page that appears to have multiple videos? The Vivud.com home page is exactly like that, looking like one big redirect page. There were many porn videos, and they had numbered durations on them, that's it. You can scroll down the page over and over again, it is like a bottomless well, there is just no end of it! Imagine a well like that. Interesting, very interesting indeed. Imagine having such a well in Africa. Then we would be able to solve the many problems that Africa is facing. I am a genius! TPD for Nobel Laureates!

I clicked on the video and got a redirect pop-up. Yes, yes!!! My pain in the butt was back in action! I hit X on a page that shouldn't be there, but when I started scrolling down the page, a pull-up add showed up. Another add, dammit! Ok, I press X again and proceed to the video. The video had an ad for WatchMyGf and it said Close & Play. I pressed it and the video finally started playing and 3 seconds later another banner appeared at the bottom of the video. What the heck is this!

The thing is that the video was surrounded by all the videos on the Vivud.com site. The videos were lined up at the top and below the videos. Many, many videos. No text, no tags, no downloads, nothing. It was stripped down to its core, shoving videos down our throats for no reason whatsoever. The video quality was default and there was a rough ass video with a play button, sound, and full screen button. That's it. No related categories, no video description, not even a video title. Just video, bam! Go ahead, enjoy your porn!" . It is incredibly tacky to create such a lame website. This is no way to present pornography. It's not even porn, it's video.

So I decided to see what was going on under the video I had just watched, and there it was again, another bottomless swamp of video that went on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and never stopped. It was as if I was back on the home page, I was on the video page. Very cool, very cool indeed! Wrong. If I didn't know better, I would think this was a WordPress site. All in all, there were so many things I didn't like that I almost quit this site altogether, but TPD is not a quitter, so I stayed.

I wanted to see what the benefits of a site like this were. Having such a simple site creates speed and ease of interaction. All videos streamed immediately and never skipped a beat or buffered. That's a good thing. It's hard to imagine browsing for a specific video on this site since there is no search bar, but it makes sense since there are no tags to anchor the video. This is probably the problem with Vivud.com.

Ultimately, the best thing about Vivud.com was the videos. Most of the vids were high production vids, the kind you would find on a premium site. I did not see any handmade or amateur ones, and I can't even imagine them, given that they are offered in photo quality, stripped of all the clarity that video is supposed to have. All in all, this is a copy-and-paste site, meant to be used for quick masturbation. Next piece.
