Welcomix

Comics and animation come in many forms. There are parody comics, hentai, SFM, 3D, and much more. But sometimes you just want to masturbate to a classic western style porno comic. It's getting harder and harder to find good western porn comics these days. I guess they haven't been popular for a while. I understand. The art style is not something you like or dislike. But it's still there. There are quality premium sites out there that frequently update their original series.
The site we're going to cover is just such a site: Welcomix.com is a premium comic site that features original content and "anime" series. All of it is drawn in the western style that so many horny fuckers love. I don't find this art style the most appealing, but I can leave my judgment aside for a moment and judge their site and selection. Their numbers are good, but not amazing. They are about 500,000 views per month and growing. But they were only founded in 2015, so they have plenty of time to keep rising.
Expensive premium subscriptions can only be charged on a monthly basis.
This is a premium comic site, but thankfully, you can view sample pages of comics before you become a premium member. I have always appreciated sites like this one. Sometimes the content isn't for me, and on other sites, you have to pay to find out. And who wants to do that.
It's like going out with a girl on Tinder without even looking at her profile picture. You never know what's going to happen. Especially since this site is pretty expensive for a premium comic site: you'll pay about $20 for access to Welcomix.com alone. But hey, maybe the content is worth it. We'll see. From the previews I've seen on the free site, it looks pretty good. But they constantly tease you with a "See More" button, which of course directs you to a page where you have to enter your credit card information.
Currently, there are only 12 series of comics to choose from.
The landing page looks okay enough. There are no funny banner ads or flashing videos, although the blank white background is a concern. The clean design has a simple header at the top that reads "Home, All Series, All Titles, Support." Below that, all of the company's comic series... A list of previews for all 12 titles is displayed. That's right, there are 12 different series in all. Each series has its own comic book entry.
Of these, "Naughty House" and "Animated Stories" have many entries. The first has over 30, and the second set has well over 100. Most of the other series, however, probably have only two or three films. That is pitiful.
Also, I digress. Nowhere in this "animated tale" was there anything animated. There were only a few still images and a few pages of text as a narrative. I tried enabling flash, I tried other browsers, I tried everything. I just couldn't get this "animation" to play. I guess it's meant to be a lively animation. I don't know about that. I just know that it is misleading." Rename it "Erotic Tales.
Not enough information in the preview.
The preview is not great either. It shows the series title, a short description, and a thumbs up or thumbs down counter. Either this rating system is new, or the site is really dead, because the highest rated one is 23, which is terrible for a site with supposedly $500,000 in revenue. And they don't even list the number of comics in the preview. That's a lie. There's no "last updated" date listed either, which I think explains this part of the story, if nothing else.
None of these comics have been updated since fucking ages ago; the latest "Naughty House" was added in January of 2018. That's a whole year ago as of this writing; they have one comic series, "Michelle's Diary," that was updated in December 2018, but most of the other comics have not been updated since 2017 or even 2016. So don't expect reliable updates even if the support page claims "weekly updates". At least now, that is not the case.
However, it is nice to have a support page. Tickets are easy to submit and 24/7 customer support is promised. You can also submit your own content to the site, but I am not sure how often that will happen. They seem to focus only on established series they already have.
High quality comics by excellent artists.
The actual length of the comics varies wildly. Some are just a few panels with external text, others are actual full-length comic book entries. The sheer fucking inconsistency of it all is quite frustrating. But the comics are quite well done. A lot of work has obviously gone into these works, and their artists deserve some recognition. I am complaining primarily about this site, not about the artists who created these nut-busting porn comics.
You get a fairly large picture of the panels of the comic strip. Enough to read the text and appreciate the detail. But saving it is not an option. You can't even right-click on the image and save it. You could use a workaround, but there is no easy way to download this. Oh, and there is a large watermark on the back of every panel. I know you don't want your work stolen, but give me a break. I am paying for this crap.
Plus, the navigation of the comic is pretty lame. I have to scroll and click "next page" every time. There is no arrow key functionality at all. How is it that a site that specializes in image and comic galleries has no arrow key navigation? Especially for a site that I pay $20 a month for. It's inexcusable.
Everything is better on the mobile version of the site.
The mobile site is actually quite excellent. You can access all the series without any problems and the comics load faster. You can even swipe to flip through pages. However, please log off from the desktop version first, you can't log into two places at once. If it detects that you are on the desktop, it will wait 2 minutes before logging you back in. Aside from that little quirk, I prefer the mobile version. It's easy to use and navigate.
My favorite features of ThePornDude
Perhaps my favorite aspect of welcomix.com is the way the mobile site is put together. I'm kind of cooing because I just said that, but to be honest, I was mostly dissatisfied with how the site was otherwise used. I didn't like the content much and the site was pretty poorly done. If this were a free site, the assortment of content would be there. Paying $20 a month for this is way too expensive. If the renewal fee was $9.99 or something like that, it would be a bit more reasonable.
ThePornDude's suggestion.
See above, ha. But seriously, update the library and add new content more often. Consider expanding it and bringing in other cartoonists. As it is, it would be hard to justify renewing membership on this site. Please also add the site features mentioned above. Show comic count and update date in preview. Arrow key features. These are important for an image gallery based site like this.
Final Thoughts on ThePornDude
Keep an eye on these guys. If they change their current ways, they could be a decent contender in the comics scene. But that's a big IF. I guess we will find out sooner or later. That's all for this issue, signing off for ThePornDude.
